Jason Gentrup

Raised in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, Jason Gentrup’s journey has taken him far beyond the geographic center of the United States. After serving in the United States Marine Corps and completing deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, he faced the challenges of loss, PTSD, single parenthood, and personal transformation.

His path led him through nursing studies, massage therapy, world travel across six continents and more than 30 countries, and academic pursuits in Political Science, Sociology, and Urban & Regional Planning. Along the way, he developed a deep understanding of the human condition through years of bodywork, conversations with people from all walks of life, and firsthand experiences across cultures and communities.
